Roxette plays on Victoria’s Wedding!
The Wedding was celebrated with 3 ceremonies during 3 days. Roxette performed in 2 of them. On June 17th at Drottnigsholm Palace the big pre-wedding dinner took place for 200 closest friends and relatives. Per Gessle was the only artist in the guest list and came to the castle with his wife Åsa Nordin. In the 2nd ceremony, on June 18th, Roxette played one song – The Look – and made the whole royalty from Europe stand up in the end. (See the photos and video).
In the 3rd ceremony, on June 19th – the wedding – Roxette played 5 songs at the reception after the dinner, just after the valse. Here is the list of songs:

After the party, the Swedish press interviewed the duo about the historical performance to the Swedish royalty, just like Abba did in the past.
Marie Fredriksson: “It was just wonderful to sing “The Look”. Victoria and Daniel were both so “ooh”, they loved it. Victoria is absolutely fantastic and I am so happy that she likes us”.
Per Gessle: “It was a top class performance. It was a fantastic evening. Crown Princess has an extremely good taste.”
Per also took part in the official banns of marriage ceremony, where Victoria and Daniel received gifts and presents from invited guests. The ceremony took place on Sunday afternoon, May 30th.

O casamento foi celebrado com três cerimônias durante três dias. Roxette tocou em duas delas. No dia 17 de junho, no Palácio Drottnigsholm, realizou-se o jantar de pré-casamento para 200 amigos íntimos e parentes. Per Gessle foi o único artista na lista de convidados e foi para o castelo com sua esposa Åsa Nordin. Na segunda cerimônia, dia 18 de junho, o Roxette tocou uma música - The Look - e fez toda a realeza da Europa ficar de pé no final. (Veja as fotos e vídeo)
Na terceira cerimônia – o casamento – dia 19 de junho, o Roxette tocou 5 músicas na recepção após o jantar, logo depois da valsa. Aqui está a lista de músicas:

Depois da festa, a imprensa entrevistou o duo sueco sobre a performance histórica para a realeza sueca, assim como Abba fez no passado.

Per também participou da cerimônia oficial de proclamas de casamento, onde Victoria e Daniel receberam brindes e presentes de seus convidados. A cerimônia ocorreu na tarde de domingo, dia 30 de maio.
